Every day, letters come to the foundation. Inside them are stories of mothers and fathers fighting for their children’s lives, requests for medicine, cries for help. Sometimes these stories are heartbreaking to read, because it feels like there is almost no hope. Yet with each story comes faith — because there are always people who choose to respond and support.

Why is it important to be there for others?

For a family facing tragedy, the most important thing is to know they are not alone. Yes, money matters. But even more important is the feeling of a supportive hand nearby. When a mother sees that she has not been abandoned, that hundreds or thousands of people have heard her pain and decided to help — it already means half the battle is won.
