News Amelchenko Sofia 💛
For a week, Sofia received blood transfusions and received daily leukocyte stimulation. Her blood counts remain low—her bone marrow is recovering slowly.
On Friday, Sofia had a CT scan. This test will show the results after two chemotherapy cycles, as recommended by the doctors in Italy. We've already sent them the results for discussion and are eagerly awaiting their response. Then we'll see whether they're ready to accept us right away or whether we need to continue chemotherapy in Russia until certain parameters are met.
In the meantime, we spend a lot of time with Sofia.
She loves playgrounds. Her favorite activity is swinging on the swings. ❤️
In the evenings, we draw. We read encyclopedias about sea creatures. Sofia seems to already know everything about sharks: what kind of cartilaginous skeleton they have, how many rows of teeth they have, why they don't sleep.
Thank you for being with us 🙏🏻
