Hello everyone. We're not doing so well. A couple of days ago, Sasha refused dinner (unusually for her), then she vomited and developed severe stomach pain. We checked her stoma, and there was a severe prolapse of intestines. We were rushed to the emergency room that night. The doctor on duty wanted to perform emergency surgery. We contacted our attending surgeon. He recommended compresses and IVs first. By morning, the intestines had retracted. Sasha has now been discharged. She's not vomiting, but she has stomach discomfort and is eating less. An unscheduled appointment with a gastroenterologist is scheduled for Wednesday.
