Story
My Sasha is only six years old. At that age, children should be running around the yard, laughing, picking up toys all over the room, and arguing with their mom about bedtime… 😢💔
And I increasingly find myself thinking that more than anything, I want our family to have that kind of normal life again.
Sasha is a very kind, affectionate, and trusting boy. He's still little and sees the world through me in many ways. When he's anxious, he reaches for my hand. When he's tired, he snuggles close to me. And every time, I realize how strongly he believes his mom can protect him from everything.
And sometimes I have to smile at him when I feel like crying myself… 😭
I try not to show Sasha my fear. I talk to him about home, about his favorite toys, about how we'll definitely still have a lot of fun, laughing, and making our little family plans.
More than anything, I want him to live a normal childhood life again and not see his mother hiding her tears when she thinks about the future... 🕯️💔
