Three months after the transplant, Katya began her next round of tests. On November 18th, she spent the entire day in the hospital. She underwent two planned biopsy procedures—one bone marrow biopsy and one lumbar biopsy—in the operating room under general anesthesia. Following these biopsy procedures, as directed by her doctors, she lay flat on her back for six hours to avoid complications. She then had a descitabine IV drip until late evening. Doctors will monitor Katya's response to the drug.
We are awaiting spirometry and other test results to assess the situation and monitor GVHD. These tests will serve as baseline indicators for choosing subsequent therapy and for more reliable follow-up of Katya's condition.

Trzy miesiące po przeszczepie Katia rozpoczęła kolejną serię badań. 18 listopada spędziła cały dzień w szpitalu. Przeszła dwie zaplanowane biopsje – jedną szpiku kostnego i jedną lędźwiową – na sali operacyjnej w znieczuleniu ogólnym.
