Savva has entered his fifth week of a six-week treatment course. He's already completed 23 of 30 proton therapy sessions, 23 anesthesia sessions, and seven days of chemotherapy.

The last week has been particularly difficult for Savva. He experiences frequent bouts of nausea—up to 6-7 times a day. He's sick almost constantly, and from everything, even water. He has no appetite at all: for several days now, Savva has eaten almost nothing, and his body is barely absorbing any food.

A few days ago, he could only eat one banana. Today, Savva asked for French fries, milk, and chocolate pudding. He tried to eat one potato stick, but couldn't swallow it and spat it out. He ate half a serving of pudding and drank half a cup of milk, but within minutes he was sick again. Food is now almost indigestible.

The doctors recommended trying pureed foods. If his body continues to refuse nutrition, the possibility of intravenous feeding or gastrostomy feeding will be considered in the near future.

Savva also developed severe burns to his scalp, forehead, and ears—a side effect of proton therapy. All necessary measures are currently being taken: ointments, creams, and cooling sprays are being used to relieve pain and skin irritation.

Savva still has seven more sessions remaining before completing the proton therapy course. After this stage, he will have six weeks of recovery, followed by further long-term treatment—six to seven months of chemotherapy combined with an autologous bone marrow transplant.

Savva is currently in a very difficult situation, but he continues to fight.
